Our Story
After more than a decade working within the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service as a firefighter, 16 years as an offshore/marine safety officer and latterly as a fire safety adviser to local government, GGS Fire Safety was established in 2017 by George Sewell.
We offer fire safety advice and support to businesses and organisations of any type or size. All our fire safety advisers are either former serving professionals within the national or military Fire & Rescue Service, and are members of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers or the Institute of Fire Engineers. This means you can have peace of mind that your organisation is in safe hands.
Our fire safety consultants’ dedication, compliance, trust, duty of care, overall honesty and integrity are the key principles that have enabled us to grow from our modest beginnings into a well-known and respected firm based in the North of Scotland.
GGS Fire Safety welcomes every kind of customer because everybody’s safety matters.
Our clients range from large and small hotels to guest houses, B&Bs, HMOs, offices, shops, self-catering holiday homes, factories, and individual homeowners to name but a few.
When you first get in touch as a potential client we will take the time to identify your exact requirements. During an initial site visit, we will carry out a comprehensive fire risk assessment and talk through every aspect of the assessment with the duty holder or responsible person.
